At Equine Institute, we believe the future of the horse industry depends on passionate, knowledgeable people.
Whether you’re a homeschool student, college student, aspiring veterinarian, equine professional, or lifelong learner, the Future Equine Leaders Scholarship was created to support your educational journey.
The Future Equine Leaders Scholarship was created to help support students and lifelong learners who are committed to expanding their knowledge and making a positive impact in the equine community.
We are proud to invest in the next generation of equine professionals and enthusiasts by providing financial support and access to high quality, science based equine education.
APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN
2026 Scholarship Awards
GRAND PRIZE:
One recipient will receive a $1,500 USD cash scholarship to support their educational journey.
Complete Learning Library Awards:
Three recipients will receive lifetime access to the Equine Institute Complete Learning Library, featuring more than 34 online courses covering equine anatomy, nutrition, first aid, behavior, biomechanics, health, veterinary topics, and more. Value: $3,117 each
Education Awards:
Five recipients will receive a $500 Equine Institute Education Award to apply toward any eligible Equine Institute course or learning bundle.
SCHOLARSHIP DETAILS
Applications are open worldwide.
We welcome applications from anyone passionate about horses and equine education, including:
- High school students
- Homeschool students
- College and university students
- Pre-veterinary students
- Veterinary technician students
- Adult learners
- Anyone pursuing an equine related educational or career path
You do not need to own a horse to apply.
Applicants are asked to submit one original essay of 500 words or fewer answering the following question:
Tell us about your passion for horses and how this scholarship will help you achieve your educational or career goals.
We want to hear your story, your ambitions, and how education can help you make a difference within the equine community.

Application Deadline: August 1, 2026, at 11:59 PM Eastern Time
Recipients Announced: August 10, 2026
Applications will be reviewed by the Equine Institute team based on:
- Passion for horses and equine education
- Thoughtfulness and originality of the essay
- Educational and career aspirations
- Overall strength of the application
Every application will be carefully reviewed by the Equine Institute team. We look forward to learning about your passion for horses and the goals you’re working toward.

- Optional photo of yourself with your horse or another equine that has inspired your journey
